Shrinking: Ethical Considerations in a Changing World

Join us November 8th for an ethics training that won't put you to sleep.

Our world is in a lot of chaos and a lot of times people act as if ethics are black and white, all or nothing, right or wrong. Realistically there are shades of gray, there are differences between how one person might engage a dilemma and how another might, and there’s a lot more space for growing together than tearing apart.

You can expect to spend 4 hours (with a lunch break halfway through) with a therapist who take ethics seriously! This is not just another CYA training that tells you everything NOT to do. Instead, we will work to create an open, nuanced space to explore ethical engagement within the mental health field.

We’ve made this training 4 content hours to ensure enough space for nuance, learning, and building a space for growth. Our hope is that you walk away from this discussion with more confidence and ready to connect more deeply within our field.

Our Agenda:

  1. Intro and orientation
  2. Clips and discussion
  3. Lunch break
  4. Reorient and Psychoed
  5. Action Steps and Closing

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to develop a dialectical framework to engage diverse ethical situations.
  2. Participants will be able to utilize confident and compassionate engagement regarding ethics with other professionals in order to bolster consultation and supervision practices in the field.
  3. Participants will be able to analyze ethical therapeutic practice through a social justice and decolonial lens of healing and identify implementation.
